The location of the hotel was great and provided easy access to the attractions and city centre. the view was amazing from the common area and provided a breathtaking experience. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the necessary amenities to make it feel like home.
The bathrooms were very small, with limited space. the bunk beds were quite low, and it could be hard to move around without hitting your head.

I stayed in a family room at Dolphin Lodge and enjoyed the comfortable and spacious rooms. The dining area had a cozy sofa, perfect for relaxing. Despite the lousy kitchen with old stuff, the friendly receptionist made up for it. The scenery was breathtaking, with the sound of sea waves at night and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The lodge had a lovely outdoor area and great views of the Kaikoura bay and snow-capped mountains. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this lodge.

Great ocean and mountain views and it's very well-located. The garden area has seating that provides the perfect lookout. Plus, there is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry for guests. The room was clean and comfortable.
The bathroom. It was outdated and not very clean.

We stayed at Dolphin Lodge for one night during our travels. The twin room we had was separate from the main house, providing a peaceful and quiet environment. The location was ideal, on a quiet side street with easy access to the main restaurant street. The outside area was pleasant, and we appreciated the availability of coffee plungers. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, a coffee table, towels, and heating options. We also liked the privacy that came with the room being separate from the main unit. it was a great place to stay, especially for those on a budget.
We do recommend this hotel.

I loved lounging on the terrace surrounded by the garden furniture and enjoying breathtaking views. In addition, this hotel has a shared kitchen where guests can prepare their meals and a dining picnic area to relish them. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I had a full-body massage, and it was incredibly relaxing.
